The Audley Rooms weddings service is run by Uttlesford District Council.


We are committed to protecting your privacy rights as a resident or visitor and when you use our services.

To comply with Data Protection legislation (the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018), the council is registered as a Data Controller with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).


Privacy notice

This privacy notice is provided for clarification on what information the council needs in order to process wedding facility bookings.


It is necessary for the council to gather, collect, store and process personal information relating to wedding facility hirers.  The council puts measures in place to protect the privacy of individuals throughout this process.

Email tracking

Some emails we track at an individual level to understand whether the user has opened and clicked on the email newsletter (e-newsletter). We rarely use this information at a personal level, rather we use it to understand open and click rates on our e-newsletters to try and improve them. Sometimes we do use the personal information e.g. to re-email people who didn't click the first time. If you want to be sure that none of your email activity is tracked then you should opt out of the council emails by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of one of these e-newsletters.
